Kelly Jones has just been recognised. An earnest young man, with a songwriterly mop of hair, has followed him into On the Beat records, a High Fidelity-style music shop behind Londons Oxford Street. "Can I give you this?: he asks, pressing a CD copy of Daniel Rachels A Simple Twist of Folk into the singers hand. On closer inspection of the sleeve it seems we have just encountered Daniel Rachel himself. Kelly mumbles bashfully and sticks the disc in his pocket. MARK
