Dusty Road

Can’t imagine what it’s like to go Africa
See the night sky
By the moonlight
So take me where the sun shines free
Where you can belong
Down a Dusty Road

Can’t imagine what it’s like to sail the ocean
To see a dolphin
Jump in the water
Take me where the fish swim free
Where man cannot be seen
From a Dusty Road

Can’t believe we got so far so soon
Made the wheel
Flew hot air balloons
So much we made before the crash
We’re trying so hard to claim it backBut I got the feeling
Somewhere we lost control
On a Dusty Road

Imagine what it’s like to fly like a swallow
To feel the air
Of every changing season
So lift me where the air is clean
See our great machine
Built on Dusty Roads

"I was quite new to living in London when I wrote Dusty Road, sitting in the sun in my back garden. Taking influence form a play I was involved in about man's attempts to redirect the Mississippi and the Brahmaputra. The song is about nature always winning back against man's scientific advancements."
